Four Fun Events in Miami Beach


If you happen to be staying at our  Miami beachfront hotel in the next few months, perhaps you would be interested in attending one of many fun and interesting events and attractions located in the area. Some of the lesser known and most popular include:

Elevated Culinary Walking Tour of South Beach

This gourmet tour of South Beach's culinary scene takes you on a mile-long journey through the epicurean delights of Miami. Restaurants vary from fine dining to hole-in-the-walls and include ethnic favorites such as ceviche, picadillo, empanadas, and tres leches, as well as cocktails. This 2.5 hour tour takes place multiple times a day between noon and 9PM and has an all-inclusive price of $85.

Hot Couture! Florida Jews in the Fashion Industry

The Jewish Museum of Florida, located at
301 Washington Ave, has several interesting exhibits pertaining to the history of the Jewish diaspora in Florida and the Caribbean, such as synagogues in Cuba and late local icon Irene Williams. "Hot Couture!" details the impressive footprint Floridian Jews left on the fashion industry over the past century, including the Maas brothers of Tampa. The museum, which is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10AM to 5PM and costs $6 per adult, also offers walking tours, including a Jewish food tour that costs 46$.

MiMo on the Beach Walking Tour

The Art Deco Museum is home to the Miami Design Preservation League, a non-profit dedicated to preserving the unique architecture and and culture of Miami Beach. This walking tour showcases the distinctive look of Miami Beach's public and private buildings known as "Miami Modern." The tour is 90 minutes long and costs $25 a person, which can be paid via cash or check.

Art Basel Miami Beach

One of the most famous modern and contemporary art fairs in the world takes place in Miami Beach every December. Artists, celebrities, and normal people alike flock to Miami Beach to celebrate the hundreds of galleries from around the world that come to showcase themselves. Indoor and outdoor art exhibits are studded throughout a wild schedule of parties at Miami's flashiest nightclubs. A single day ticket will cost $55 onsite while a ticket for all four days of the festivities will cost $115 onsite, with savings available for those who purchase their tickets early or apply for senior, student, and group discounts.
